Happy Canada Day

HAPPY CANADA DAY
(Of course we had oatmeal! In my defense, it was `Canadian`oatmeal. Special, eh?)

We celebrated the day off with tent building:

They were so proud to have their own tent. I'm not sure I'm ready to have them adventuring into the wilderness on their own like they would like to, though.

My rather drippy Canada Day Cake:

Party in the Park!
We got there a little later than we'd planned. Note to self: yes, its always crazy. But it is also VERY fun. Go ahead, spend some more time there next time!)

Two-Teefer smile!

In a cage where he belongs, bouncing off the walls!

We hung out on the hill for a little while, waiting for it to get dark enough to watch fireworks. The boys ran up and down with their friends, who had been foresightful enough to bring glow necklaces and bracelets. Brilliant!

Waiting and making their own light shows:

Spidey wasn't too sure what to make of the lights and booming. He didn't cry, but he did watch VERY closely.

Galoot and his buddy used their lightsticks as wands, following the fireworks up...

...and "booming" it at the top:
This was my absolute favourite point of the day!
